Skip Bayless roasted online for comments on Mahomes, Herbert & Burrow

Skip Bayless has drawn a lot of criticism online for his comments surrounding young quarterbacks Justin Herbert, Patrick Mahomes and Joe Burrow.

In the first true Thursday night game of the season (in that it’s the first time teams have to play on a short week, as opposed to the kickoff game between the Los Angeles Rams and the Buffalo Bills last week), the Kansas City Chiefs took on the Los Angeles Chargers.

The game is arguably one of the biggest games that we are likely to see all season, with both teams looking as if they could make deep runs into the playoffs and the game likely to have a big say in how the AFC West, a division that many are saying is the best in football this year, will play out.

But when it comes to ‘the game within the game’, that battle concerns Patrick Mahomes and Justin Herbert, two young quarterbacks with the world at their feet and who look like they have the skillset to dominate the league for a long time, a modern-day Tom Brady against Peyton Manning if you will.

When you look at what they’ve done with their careers you can see why, with Mahomes having already won league MVP in 2018 and Super Bowl MVP in 2019 whilst putting up more than 19,000 yards and 150 touchdowns entering the game.

Meanwhile, Herbert holds the record for most passing yards in a quarterback’s first two seasons with 9,350, most total touchdowns in a quarterback’s first two seasons with 77 and became the first quarterback to record 30 touchdown passes in each of his first two seasons.

Both are talented players and both can make their case for being the best young quarterback in the game right now.

However, there’s one name that Skip Bayless wants to throw into the conversation,

Cincinnati Bengals youngster Joe Burrow
