Skate 4: Game reportedly getting a “playtest” this week

Skate 4 is one of the most anticipated titles in the upcoming column for EA Games, and a new report indicates that there will be a playtest this week.

Fans of the franchise have been waiting an extremely long time to get their hands on the newest iteration of the game, and it doesn’t look like it is that far off.

There was a time where Skate 4 seemed to be a (half)pipe dream for many, but we’re edging closer and closer to it being a retail release reality.

Renowned gaming insider Tom Henderson recently revealed that the game was entering a playtest this week.

He tweeted: “So… Who got into the skate. Playtest this week?” confirming that some players will be able to get access to a build of the game shortly.

Henderson had already confirmed that the game had entered the Playtesting Phase internally in EA back in March.

Writing for Exputer, Henderson revealed that: “Sources have said that the game is well into its QA phase, which is news that can now be revealed via Origin’s API. Under the name ‘Project Dingo’ the title has now started active internal playtesting via Origin, as can be seen below.”

This is hugely promising for fans of the lauded series, as it means that a fully playable version of the elusive game is finally set to get into gamers’ hands.

One player already claims to have got their hands on the game itself, replying to Henderson’s original tweet about the Playtest this week.
