Sittingbourne sign brothers Reiss and Jordan Greenidge in eye-catching double deal for the Isthmian South East club

Sittingbourne have pulled off the double signing of brothers Reiss and Jordan Greenidge.

Defender Reiss, 30, and striker Jordan, 26, started last season together at National League South side Slough.

It was the first time they had played for the same club, although Jordan went on to join league rivals Hampton & Richmond in December.

The pair, who live together in London, have now been reunited on the pitch with their move to Sittingbourne.

Reiss, who stands 6ft6in, counts Bolton Wanderers among his former clubs, winning promotion from League 2, and was part of the Maidstone side who reached the FA Cup fifth round in 2024. He’s also played international football for Guyana.

Jordan, who’s 6ft4in, has had spells in Cyprus and Spain and played some of his best football at Tonbridge, scoring 17 goals in 28 appearances while on loan from Hemel Hempstead in the 2022/23 campaign.

He also counts Chelmsford and Dartford among his former clubs.

The brothers played against each other for the first time when Maidstone drew 1-1 at Tonbridge on Boxing Day 2023, by which time Jordan had made a permanent move to Longmead.

They’ve dropped two levels to join Isthmian South East Sittingbourne and manager Reece Prestedge is delighted to have them on board.

“We’ve got them as a pair - I think they both wanted to play together,” said Prestedge, whose side drew 2-2 at Tonbridge in a pre-season friendly on Tuesday night.

“I wanted to secure Jordan first because he gives us something completely different, and then Reiss gives you unbelievable experience at the back.

“This is why you wait and have a little look in pre-season because if we were done and dusted before pre-season started we’d have missed out on these two.

“I had a conversation with
