Sinéad Hayden lands player of the month award for November

Sinéad Hayden from the Bennekerry/Tinryland club in Carlow has been honoured with The Croke Park Hotel/LGFA Player of the Month award for November.

Bennekerry/Tinryland created history last Saturday when they became the first Carlow club to appear in an All-Ireland final where they defeated Galway's Annaghdown 2-10 to 1-7 in the intermediate decider.

The corner-forward has been instrumental on their journey having scored three points in the Leinster final before picking off 2-01 in the All-Ireland semi-final defeat of Cavan’s Mullahoran.

Hayden was again on the scoresheet in Croke Park at the weekend, landing a couple of points in an unforgettable day for the club.
