Simelane '100% believes' he'll hit form at Bulls: 'Patience is as important as working hard'

Bulls utility back Wandisile Simelane is trying to be patient with himself as he attempts to establish a place in the Bulls' United Rugby Championship squad, despite the regular season ending on Saturday.

The Bulls host unbeaten log-leaders Leinster at Loftus Versfeld on Saturday and, oddly, they remain the last team to have beaten Leinster in the URC.

Simelane, who moved up the N1 from the Lions, where he was the starting outside centre, has moved around the backline this season.

He has featured at wing, centre and fullback as Bulls director of rugby Jake White seeks to find the player's best position.

Simelane not only admitted that his form hasn't been up to scratch, but also said that he needed to be patient with his processes.

"Patience is as important as working hard. You can't expect to play every weekend and you can't expect the coach to select you," Simelane said.

"You need to bring your part, you need to deliver. I know, better than anyone else, that my form hasn't been too great.

"As soon as my form is up there, it will show in team selection and me playing more games at outside centre.

"I'm 100 percent sure in believing the process and I'm sure that once I hit my best again, it will show in team selection.

"It's hard to stay patient, but it's a virtue."
