Silverstone BSB: ‘Weekend of survival’ for Hickman at bogey track

FHO BMW’s Peter Hickman is expecting a ‘weekend of survival’ at Silverstone’s Bennetts British Superbike opener and is pleased to get his bogey track out of the way early.

The Isle of Man TT lap record holder’s main aim is to scrape as many points as he can at the Northamptonshire track and to take no risks.

“I think we all know that this is probably one of my least favourite tracks so I think it’s probably just going to be a weekend of survival for me, one to scrape as many points together as possible,” said the Louth rider.

“It’s good in a way that we’re able to get this one out of the way early and I don’t want to risk anything more than what I need to so we can just collect as many points as possible and just move on. You never know what’s going to happen so we’ll just be going out there to do the best we can.
