Sights and sounds from Brewers' parade through Milwaukee - ESPN

Milwaukee Brewers fans waited a long time for Wednesday night's World Series win, so it went without saying that the ensuing parade would be a party to remember.

The newly minted champions celebrated their triumphant return to Wisconsin with a raucous parade Friday, one befitting of a franchise's first championship. Gov. Tony Evers declared Friday as «Won Our Way» Day — and jokingly told citizens they could feel free to use his proclamation as an excuse to get away from work.

«Look, I'm not saying I can give you the day off tomorrow,» Evers' account posted on X. «I don't think it's in my executive powers as governor to do that, but I am saying you can show this to your boss and see what happens. It's worth a shot.»

Day off from work or not — doing their part, Milwaukee Public Schools closed Friday — thousands of Wisconsinites lined the streets of Milwaukee to revel in the Brewers' title. Here are all the top scenes from a memorable celebration on the streets of Cream City.
