Indian cricket team stars Shubman Gill and Abhishek Sharma were both mentored by Yuvraj Singh during their early years and in the recent past, Yuvraj has been quite vocal in praising them for their performances. In a recent interaction with Curly Tales, Yuvraj's mother - Shabnam Singh - revealed the two youngsters are petrified of the former India all-rounder. She revealed that Yuvraj was quite strict while mentoring them and even today, he talks to them about their performances and gameplay.
"He has these young kids - Shubman (Gill) and Abhishek (Sharma). He watches cricket and calls them in the evening to talk about how they played. They are just petrified of him.
Yuvraj also revealed that he is quite nervous when he watches Abhishek and Gill play.
"I watch Abhishek and Shubman bat. But my mom used to get nervous when I was talking. I also get nervous when they are batting. I have spent a lot of time with them when they were growing up.
