Should more people still be wearing facemasks?

It's been around a years since the final Covid restrictions in the UK were lifted, with the country having enjoyed a return to normality after two years of lockdown turmoil.

Since then, we've had the odd small scare with occasional peaks in coronavirus cases, but life has continued as normal without restrictions despite the virus making a reappearance from time to time.

This past week, we've seen a new strain of Covid known as 'Arcturus' start to appear in the UK, with India having had trouble with the more infectious variant and being forced to bring back facemasks in some states.

The new Arcturus variant is thought to be 1.2 times more infectious than the most recent significant sub-variant of coronavirus, according to research.
