Shoppers fume and start petition as popular Milky Way chocolate is discontinued in UK

Shoppers are fuming that their favourite snack will no longer be on supermarket shelves. Those who have a sweet tooth won't be too happy to know that the famous Milky Way crispy rolls will no longer be available to buy in the UK.

Anger is mounting over the discontinued Milky Way chocolate, so much so that a petition has been launched to bring it back, attracting more than 1,500 signatures. Brits want the beloved chocolate item returned, calling the recall "disappointing".

Milky Way Crispy Rolls are produced by Mars UK which is also known as Mars Wrigley UK. They are Milky Way bars blended with a crisp biscuit. These rolls are composed of a crunchy biscuit centre that is coated in a fluffy whipped topping, all covered with rich milk chocolate.

The petition reads: "Many people might have noticed that this product hasn’t been sold in shops or online shops because it has been discontinued, which is very disappointing. This product is a very popular product which many people love and it is a nice low calorie snack.

"This product has been around for quite some time and it’s disappointing that after all that time Mars Chocolate has discontinued it from there product range. I for one would choose the Milky Way Crispy Rolls over other Mars Chocolate products. For example I would rather have a Milky Way Crispy Roll rather than a Milky Way and I’m sure many other people think the same."

Only a select few stores in the UK were selling the crispy rolls, which included B&M, the Co-op and Poundland. Supermarkets from the likes of Waitrose , Morrisons, Tesco and Asda have not sold the product for quite some time. The snacks are also currently unavailable to buy on Amazon too. We found one seller on eBay selling some for 50p here.
