Shoppers 'ditching' Samsung and Apple for 'brilliant' tablet that's under £100

As a technology writer, I'm constantly looking for the flashiest Apple, Samsung and Google devices, scouring events for the newest AI-powered smartphone, the snappiest laptop or the fastest chip. However, outside of my job, I like to think I'm a savvy shopper, always on the hunt for a bargain to save the pennies.

The money-saving side in me spotted a too-good-to-beat Amazon deal, one so cheap in fact I've ditched the prospects of upgrading to a swanky Samsung or Apple tablet for a much cheaper device. And it costs less than £100.

The Lenovo Tab M10 is now £99 in an early Amazon Prime Day deal and if you're like me looking for a basic performing tablet to watch your favourite Disney+ series, scroll on social or do admin this could be a good fit. And while a lot of budget-friendly tech deals date back to older devices, this 10-inch model is only two years old.

Yes, Apple's brand new 2024 iPad Pro and Samsung's Galaxy Tab S9 range are certainly tempting, but at a starting price of more than £799 the two flagship devices won't be in everyones price range - no matter how high end the features. Devices like the Google Pixel 11 tablet are a mid-range option which can be picked up anywhere from £399.

Fitted with Android 11 software the affordable Lenovo Tab M10 isn't as 'old' as shoppers may think when it comes to its runnings, which is only two launches behind the Android 13 seen on the likes of new Google Pixel tablets. Another feature that may sway shoppers to buy is its 32GB of internal storage, a size which I personally don't think
