Shirt numbers available at Manchester United for Jurrien Timber, Darwin Nunez & transfer targets

A summer of transition lies ahead for Manchester United and a whole host of transfer targets are already being linked with moves to Old Trafford.

Following the appointment of Erik ten Hag as manager, United are set to experience the type of summer that they haven't had in years with several new faces hopefully arriving at the club. They have already started to clear the decks, confirming that Lee Grant, Nemanja Matic, Paul Pogba, Jesse Lingard, Juan Mata and Edinson Cavani will all leave the club when their contracts expire at the end of this month.

Their departures will significantly decrease the club's wage bill, meaning there will be room for United to bring in fresh blood to strengthen several areas of the squad. Centre-back, central-midfield and upfront are the three most important areas for United to improve and a plethora of targets are already being linked with filling those spots.

Whoever Ten Hag does manage to add to his squad this summer, they will need to be assigned a shirt number.
