Sherlock on Monaghan radar as managerial races heat up
Jason Sherlock has become a leading contender to take over at Monaghan as they seek to appoint a new manager in the wake of Seamus McEnaney's departure.
Sherlock worked closely with Jim Gavin during their all-conquering stint with Dublin and he also managed the county minors in recent years as well as working in their underage academy.
A number of inter-county managerial appointments look set to be finalised in the coming days and weeks.
With the club scene well underway and now taking centre stage, incoming managers are hoping to soon get to scan their local championships and identify young talent coming through.
