Sheppey United sign former Chatham Town forward Ollie Sotoyinbo and he scores on his debut in Velocity Cup game against Ramsgate
Sheppey United have added a forward to their squad with plenty of goals and multiple promotions on his CV.
The Ites handed a debut to Ollie Sotoyinbo on Tuesday night in their Velocity Cup game against Ramsgate, and he claimed a goal and an assist in a 3-0 win.

Sotoyinbo finished last season with a Wembley appearance in the FA Vase final after 23 goals for Cockfosters and heads to the Ites after scoring eight times for Essex Senior League side Woodford Town so far in this campaign.
A transfer target in the summer, Sheppey have now got their man.
He previously helped Chatham Town to title glory in the Isthmian South East - one of five promotions he’s already enjoyed.
Having helped Chats to success in 2022/23, he then played for Bowers & Pitsea the following year as they won promotion from Isthmian North in the play-off final, scoring the winning spot-kick.
He’s also won promotions with VCD Athletic, Walthamstow and Hullbridge Sports.
Sheppey will hope his presence helps make them more potent in attack after a hit-and-miss season so far.
Joint boss Ian Batten said: “We tried getting him in the summer but he knew the manager [Shane Baptiste] at Woodford and went back there [after a previous spell] but the manager recently left and now he’s agreed to join us.
“He can play either side of the nine or he can play ten. We needed a bit more creativity and someone that's going to chip in with some goals and we’re hoping he ends up being a good addition.”
The Ites beat Ramsgate in their cup game at Holm Park with Oghosa Williams, Sotoyinbo and 16-year-old Freddie Godden all scoring.
Sheppey now face two away league games in a week with Saturday’s trip to Crowborough
