Shelbourne, Shamrock Rovers and Wexford advance to Avenir Sports All-Island Cup last four
Shelbourne, Shamrock Rovers and Wexford all booked their places in the semi-final of the Avenir Sports All-Island Cup with wins on Saturday.
In the battle of the current top two in SSE Airtricity Women's Premier Division, Shelbourne came from behind to beat Athlone Town 2-1 at Tolka Park.
Casey Howe volleyed the visitors into the lead in the 16th minute before Noelle Murray levelled proceedings in first-half stoppage time.
Murray was on target again 12 minutes from time to take Eoin Wearen's charges into the last four.
Lauren Kelly gave Shamrock Rovers a half-time lead in their clash with Peamount United at Tallaght Stadium, before second-half goals from Aine O'Gorman and Lia O'Leary ensured a 3-0 win for the hosts.
Wexford reached the last four for the second successive year, courtesy of a 3-2 victory over Linfield at Midgley Park in Belfast.
