Shelbourne heading to Waterford as Derry City draw Treaty United in FAI Cup semi-finals

The draw for the Extra.ie FAI Cup semi-finals has thrown up two Premier Division versus First Division ties.

Waterford FC will host Shelbourne, a second home round in a row for the Blues, while Treaty United will head to Derry City, who knocked out SSE Airtricity League Premier Division leaders Shamrock Rovers earlier this evening.

Waterford were surprise winners over Dundalk in their last eight tie on Friday, and they'll have to beat another top-flight side if they want to reach a first final since 2004, with their last title coming in 1980.

Shels were last in the showpiece game 11 years ago, and they last won it back in 2000.

Derry lifted the cup most recently 10 years ago, while they made the final two years later.

Treaty United are into a first semi-final since their formation ahead of last year's First Division campaign after they put UCD out at Markets Field on Friday.
