Shelbourne big winners over Kalju in Conference League qualifier

Shelbourne have put themselves in a great position to qualify for the third round of the Conference League qualifiers after a 5-2 win over Kalju at Tolka Park.

John Russell's side got off to a flying start, with goals from Rodrigo Freitas, Sean Moore, and Alistair Coote putting Shelbourne 3-0 ahead after 25 minutes.

Kalju pulled a goal back in the 40th minute, but Moore restored their three goal lead.

Daniel Ring scored their fourth in the 89th minute, with Enrique Esono scoring Kajie's second in added time.

Elsewhere, Derry City were defeated 1-0 away to Rijeka.

The only goal of the game through Toni Fruk.
