Sheffield United let young duo depart on loan deals until end of the season

Sheffield United duo Femi Seriki and Jean Belehouan have both left the club on separate loan deals until the end of the season. Wing-back Seriki is heading to Boston United whilst fellow defender Belehouan has joined Farsley Celtic.

Eighteen-year-old Seriki had already featured for the first-team this season, with the Manchester-born defender playing 67 minutes during the Blades' 1-1 draw with Nottingham Forest earlier this month. He was subsequently replaced by Ben Osborn.

Entering into his second loan spell away from Bramall Lane this season, the wing-back endured a miserable time with Belgian Pro League side Beerschot where he mustered just one domestic appearance. The temporary switch to Lincolnshire will hopefully provide a little more fruitful in his bid for more regular first team football.

As for 21-year-old Belehouan, the centre-back has linked up with Russ Wilcox's side until the end of the season, bidding to aid their hopes of remaining in the National League North this season. With just eight games remaining, the Blades have allowed the former Manchester United academy man to depart temporarily.

A former product of the Red Devils academy set up, French defender Belehouan moved to South Yorkshire back in 2017, bringing his seven-year association with the club to an end.

Bidding to gain experience with the Celt Army, the United defender did feature once for National League side Halifax Town last season, but was forced to withdraw following a nasty knee injury that left him sidelined for well over a year.
