Sheffield United legend Neil Warnock to host special event at Sheffield City Hall

Legendary Sheffield United manager Neil Warnock is holding a special event in the city to mark his retirement.

Warnock, 73, from Sheffield, managed Yorkshire sides the Blades, Leeds United and Rotherham United among the 16 clubs he managed during his fiery career. At the weekend, Warnock announced he’d retired from football management with Middlesbrough being the final side he oversaw.

On Friday, September 16 Warnock will be appearing at Sheffield City Hall to reflect on his career. A spokesperson for the event said: “No holds barred, delivered in Neil’s unique and imitable style with stories that will make you laugh, cry, gasp and laugh again.”

Fans will hear from his days in non-league football all the way through to the Premier League. You'll hear about him going up against managerial giants Pep Guardiola and Jurgen Klopp.

There will be footage of some of the highlights and lowlights of Warnock’s time at Bramall Lane and beyond. While he will also spill the beans on some of his most infamous bust ups - if you are a referee you might be in for some stick.

If you’d like to see Neil Warnock in Sheffield tickets are on sale now. Tickets start at £35 while there are also some meet and greet packages available.

You can buy tickets through the Sheffield City Hall website. You can also find out about things happening in Sheffield and across Yorkshire by visiting our What’s On homepage.
