Sheffield United 3-0 Swansea City: Ruthless Blades secure emphatic win at Bramall Lane

Swansea City slipped further away from the Championship's play-off places as they were beaten 3-0 by Sheffield United.

Russell Martin's men started well at Bramall Lane but fell behind to Sander Berge's strike midway through the first-half.

Jack Robinson added a second for the hosts just before half-time before Oli McBurnie notched his side's third in the final stages as the Blades stretched their unbeaten league run to 10 matches while ensuring the Swans have won just twice in their last 14 Championship encounters.

Kyle Naughton started against his former employers in what was the only change to Swansea's starting line-up from last weekend's defeat to Birmingham City - with Joel Latibeaudiere missing out due to a calf injury.

Sheffield United went into the match having won four on the spin at Bramall Lane. But the Swans were unfazed by the scale of the prospect that lay in front of them and started well in south Yorkshire.

Olivier Ntcham latched on to Jay Fulton's long-range pass before prodding into the path of Joel Piroe whose rasping effort was palmed away by Wes Foderingham after just eight minutes.
