Shamrock Rovers to face AZ Alkmaar in UEFA Youth League

Shamrock Rovers will face Dutch outfit AZ Alkmaar in the two-legged first round of the UEFA Youth League.

The Hoops' Under-19s are provisionally slated to travel to the Netherlands for the first leg on Wednesday 14 September, with the return game in Dublin a fortnight later on 5 October.

If they can get past AZ Alkmaar, Shamrock Rovers will take on the winners of Omonia and Red Star Belgrade in the second round.

Last year St Pat's were beaten by Red Star 4-1 on aggregate in the first round.
