Sevenoaks Town name former Glebe boss Harry Hudson as their new manager

Sevenoaks have confirmed the appointment of Harry Hudson as their new manager.

The move comes 24 hours after Glebe said they had sacked Hudson after he applied for, held talks and was offered the job with Sevenoaks.

Hudson, who has previously been in charge of Whyteleafe and Croydon, will take charge of Sevenoaks for the first time at Corinthian on Saturday in Isthmian South East.

He takes over with Sevenoaks one point off the bottom of the table, currently in 18th place - a relegation play-off spot - with 23 points from 28 games.

Hudson said: "It is a huge honour for me to be appointed as first-team manager of this ambitious club.

"I can’t wait to get started! After speaking to the directors and trustees, I very much felt their enthusiasm to grow the club, be innovative on all fronts and achieve something special.

"The club is widely respected in so many regards - for its first-class junior and youth teams, community initiatives and of course its amazing 3G pitch with further exciting plans to build a new clubhouse and take Greatness Park to the next level.

"These are exciting times for everyone involved with the club.

"My first message to the players will be that we have to do this together. We find ourselves in a difficult position but we’ll try to do our job and fight for every point over the remaining 10 games of the season."

Hudson has appointed Mark Dacey as assistant manager, Danny Rose as coach, Julian Leigh as goalkeeper coach, Terry Groom as coach and Kevin Rawlinson as head of analysis.
