Sergey Vorobiev knocking out his sparring partner for 'not protecting at all times'
A video of Russian boxer Sergey Vorobiev knocking out his sparring partner for taunting him is doing the rounds once again on social media, reminding us all how brutal the sport can be.
The super-welterweight has only tasted one defeat in his career and currently has a record of 17-1.
With that knowledge, it’s baffling why his sparring partner would choose to step into the ring without headgear and taunt the then 26-year-old.
At the time, Vorobiev was getting ready for his fight against Dzmitry Atrokhau on September 26 of last year when the incident above occurred.
Midway through the first round, the sparring partner opted to drop his hands before squaring up to Vorobiev.
He proceeded to taunt him by roaring straight in his face.
