Serbia's Danube Treasures: From Golubac Fortress to prehistoric Lepenski Vir

Our adventure begins at the iconic Golubac Fortress, which marks the entrance to Đerdap National Park. We explore the Đerdap Gorge, Europe's deepest canyon, where the Danube reaches its widest point at 6.2 kilometres. Along its banks we discover Roman remains, including the ancient Trajan's Tablet.

Our journey through time continues at Lepenski Vir, an archaeological site over 6,000 years old, believed by some to be the oldest city in Europe. The expedition concludes with an insight into Wallachian magic, offering a fascinating glimpse into the ancient beliefs and traditions that still resonate in eastern Serbia today.
