If money was no object, who would your dream signing be for Liverpool? Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne was the answer Jamie Carragher gave.

The former Liverpool defender hailed the Belgian as the 'best midfielder in the world' and would love to see him in the Reds midfield.

De Bruyne has been a key part of the Manchester City side that has won three of the last four Premier League titles and leads the way this year too.

Carragher singled out De Bruyne as the one player he would love to see in Jurgen Klopp 's side - if fantasy transfers were possible.

"I just think that Kevin De Bruyne is absolutely sensational," said Carragher

"I think in that right channel, maybe getting in the way of Trent I don’t know! But I’d say Kevin De Bruyne is the first one that springs to mind.

"I think he’s one of the best players in the world. Certainly in the last two or three years he’s been the best midfield player in the world."
