Seamus Power grabs share of lead ahead of Bermuda Championship final day
Seamus Power holds a share of the lead heading into the final round at the Butterfield Bermuda Championship after carding a third consecutive 65 on Saturday.
The Waterford native, the top-ranked player at the tournament, has been living up to that status across the first three days at the Port Royal Golf course and sits on 18 under alongside the United States' Ben Griffin.
LEADERBOARD
Coming into the third day of action off the back of six-under 65s on Friday and Saturday respectively, Power continued in that vein on Saturday as he contended for the lead before moving to the top of the leaderboard late in the round.
He started in stunning fashion, with four birdies in a row from holes two to five, before adding another on the ninth.
Another birdie on 11 moved him up to six under for the day but he ran into trouble on an what proved to be an unlucky par-three 13th with a double bogey.
However, Power rallied and putted for two birdies in a row on 16 and 17 to keep pace with Griffin, who carded a 66.
Taiwan's Chun-An Yu is two shots further shot adrift on 16 under after a 67, ahead of a two-way tie for fourth comprising Brian Gay and Aaron Baddeley.
