Scotland v Wales Live: Kick-off time, TV channel and score updates

Wales Women kick off their Rugby World Cup campaign this afternoon against rivals Scotland.

The Six Nations teams meet in their Pool B opener in Salford, with the winner likely to take a huge step in qualification for the knockout stages of the competition. Canada and Fiji, who are in the same group, meet later on in the day, with the former heavily fancied as pool stage winners.

Wales head coach Sean Lynn has been boosted by the availability of Alex Callender, who has been named as co-captain alongside Kate Williams. Lisa Neumann wins her 50th cap on the wing.

Scotland, meanwhile, have their own fitness boost with most capped player Lana Skeldon being declared fit to start.

Matches between these two sides are always close and we are expecting another tense one this afternoon.

Kick-off is at 2.45pm and coverage is available on BBC One and iPlayer.
