Scotland make 13 changes for final match of Americas tour

MONTEVIDEO : Scotland have kept only two players from the starting lineup that beat Chile last weekend for the last match on their month-long Americas tour against Uruguay in Montevideo on Saturday.

Ben Healy will start again at flyhalf after contributing six points in the 52-11 win over Chile while Kyle Rowe moves from fullback to right wing after scoring two tries in Santiago last Saturday. It allows Harry Paterson to play at fullback for a second cap.

Rory Darge captains the team that was named on Wednesday and Duhan van der Merwe returns on the left wing with the opportunity to become Scotland’s leading try scorer after one against the United States in Washington a fortnight ago lifted him to 27 alongside Stuart Hogg.

Centre Huw Jones will earn a 50th cap in a team made up only of players based at clubs in Scotland.

World Rugby rules mean those players based at clubs outside the country cannot be fielded in this fixture, which falls outside of the dates set aside for internationals.

Glasgow centre Sione Tuipulotu, who has been a co-captain on the tour, has been allowed to leave early to spend time with his partner and new baby. He was one of seven players who left the tour early after the test against Chile.

Scotland have beaten Canada, the United States and Chile in three high scoring matches on their mid-year tour.
