Scotland discover Greece Nations League ticket allocation as Tartan Army diehards face away day scramble
The Tartan Army has been handed just 1,600 tickets for the Nations League play-off in Greece.
Steve Clarke’s side take on the Greeks in the Georgios Karaiskakis Stadium on 20th March. The Hellenic Football Federation have confirmed the Dark Blues' allocation in the last 24 hours. The Pireas-based ground has a capacity of 33,079 but the limited allocation will spark a ticket scramble.
Scotland return for the second leg at Hampden three days later. Clarke’s squad need to try and win the game over the two legs to remain in Group A of the Nations League. They had looked destined for the drop before a late rally in their group kept them afloat and left them with this play-off to safeguard their current status. Scotland will be no stranger to Greece by the end of the year because there are also home and away fixtures in the World Cup qualifiers, in October and November.
