Saturday sport: Wexford beat Offaly in Tailteann cup, Champions League final build-up

Wexford overcame the challenge of Offaly in the first of the preliminary quarter-finals in the Tailteann Cup this afternoon.

Mark Rossiter netted the goal for the winners in their 1-22 to 2-14 defeat of Offaly in Tullamore.

At Dr Cullen Park, Carlow beat New York by 15-10.

Laois hold a six points to four over Fermanagh at half-time of their meeting in Enniskillen.
