Salford City 0 Gillingham 0: League Two match report from the Peninsula Stadium

Gillingham came through a tough opening half at Salford City to claim a hard-earned point.

Ros Longelo hit the woodwork in the first 45 minutes for the promotion-chasing side but neither side could find a breakthrough.

Salford had won their previous five games at home and started the afternoon just two points off the top three in League Two.

It was the fourth visit for the Gills to Salford, winning two and drawing another of their previous three games against the city side.
