Sainsbury's shopper who got NINE legs of lamb worth £252 for £36 divides opinion

A Sainsbury’s shopper who managed to bag NINE legs of lamb for just £36 has been slammed for being ‘greedy’.

Fellow shoppers have hit out at the savvy customer who saved a whopping £216 on the purchase, BirminghamLive reports.

Bargain hunter Alwyn took to money-saving Facebook group Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK and wrote: "Mate had a good deal at Sainsbury's today. Nine legs of lamb. Retail price of £252, we paid £36. Seems fair to me!"

But in response, some shoppers were NOT happy. "Unfortunately the age of entitlement," wrote one scathing critic. A second shopper at the retailer added: "That's shocking. They will end up hyping other goods on poor customers."

The Facebook group has thousands of followers and Aldi, Lidl, Morrisons, Asda, Sainsbury's and Tesco shoppers routinely share their tips, tricks and hacks in it. But some were left angry with the sense of entitlement felt by the punter.

"Shame you didn’t leave a few for others that couldn’t afford much," added another. "B*****y ell did you manage to save other people any?!" added another social media user in disbelief, as fans rushed to click 'like' on his swipe at the customer.

Another begged: "Save some for everyone else won't you." While a fellow fan typed: "No wonder there is none left when I've been to my Sainsburys." But it's worth mentioning not everybody on the Facebook group and chat forum was left unimpressed.
