Sadio Mane goes flying in Liverpool training as Virgil van Dijk pulls amusing trick

Liverpool forward Sadio Mane was sent flying to the ground as the Reds trained for their Champions League final against Real Madrid.

The Senegal star will hope to start in Paris after scoring against the Spanish champions in the 2018 final as Liverpool fell to a 3-1 defeat. Mane has been the subject of interest from Bayern Munich, but has remained an important part of Jurgen Klopp's team this season.

Klopp's side failed in their bid to get one over on Real Madrid last season, losing in the quarter-finals before Los Blancos were downed by Chelsea in the semis. However, after the fun and games which saw Virgil van Dijk leave his teammate Mane on the ground, it appears spirits are high going into the game.

Liverpool have been sharing some footage from their training sessions as they prepare for the final at the Stade de France. The game had originally been slated to take place at the Krestovsky Stadium in St Petersburg, but was moved amid Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

In one clip from the Reds' preparations, Mane can be seen bumping shoulders with his teammates. However, when it's Van Dijk's turn, the Dutchman moves out of the way, resulting in his colleague sprawling to the ground.

Mane and Van Dijk have spent plenty of time around each other, having spent a season together at Southampton before reuniting at Anfield. The Dutch defender moved to St Mary's in 2015, ahead of Mane's final season there before his big-money move to Liverpool, and followed the Senegal international to Merseyside in January 2018.

The final could end up being Mane's final game in a Liverpool shirt. The 30-year-old is out of contract in the summer of 2023, and has been reluctant to discuss his future before taking to the field in Paris.
