Sacha Lord fills Manchester with huge billboard slamming Tories during conference
Sacha Lord has filled Manchester with huge billboards slamming the Tories amid their party conference, claiming the government 'left millions out to dry' in the events industry during the pandemic.
The night-time economy advisor for Greater Manchester claimed he used the 'largest digital screen in the city centre', at an apartment block beside where the Conservative Party conference is being held, at the Manchester Central convention complex.
Featuring a picture of Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, the large digital display read: "I ignored 3.8 million self-employed... because they didn't vote Tory."

The message was shared as the Conservative Party conference got underway on Sunday, running through to Wednesday next week. It's the eighth Tory annual conference to be held in Manchester city centre since 2009.
A digital billboard on wheels also appeared in the city as thousands of protestors also took to the streets, along with a video of Sacha Lord explaining that, during the pandemic, the events industry was 'utterly decimated' - with little government support.
"I've taken out the largest digital screen in the city centre which is directly above the Tory conference," Mr Lord explained in a social media video, which has been viewed more than half a million times.
"During the pandemic we witnessed the complete and utter decimation of the events industry. Freelancers were left with no financial support whatsoever.
