SA emerging squad take on Zimbabwe with eye on 2023 Women's World Cups

Cricket South Africa (CSA) on Friday released the latest South African Emerging squad for a five-match Women's T20 series against Zimbabwe in Tshwane.

The series gets underway this Sunday from 10:00 at the Groenkloof Oval at the University of Pretoria, and all the action streamed live on Pitch Vision between 28 August - 3 September.

The unique group of rising stars, including talents from the Proteas women, high-performance and South Africa Under-19 set-ups were selected as South Africa continue their preparations towards hosting next year's inaugural ICC Women's U19 T20 World Cup and the Women's T20 World Cup.

SA Emerging 15-player squad vs Zimbabwe:

Micaela Andrews (Garden Route Badgers Women), Nobulumko Baneti (Dolphins Ladies), Anneke Bosch (North West Dragons Women), Monalisa Legodi (Titans), Simone Lourens (Titans), Tebogo Macheke (Titans), Seshnie Naidu (Dolphins Ladies), Raisibe Ntozakhe (Lions Women),  Kayla Reyneke (Western Province Women), Nondumiso Shangase (Dolphins Ladies), Miane Smit (Free State Women), Delmi Tucker (Western Province Women), Faye Tunnicliffe (Western Province Women), Elandri Janse van Rensburg (North West Dragons Women), Caitlin Wyngaard (Western Province Women)

Amongst the 15-player contingent gathered at the CSA Centre of Excellence in Pretoria are Proteas Women all-rounders and Team South Africa members at the recent Commonwealth Games, Anneke Bosch, and Delmi Tucker. They are joined by Raisibe Ntozake, Nondumiso Shangase and Faye Tunnicliffe, who are also capped at national level.

Micaela Andrews, wicketkeeper Tebogo Macheke and fast bowler, Nobulumko Baneti will add more experience in a squad that will be largely made up of future stars from the SA U19s.
