Ryan Lowe shares Ched Evans update ahead of Preston North End’s meeting with QPR

Preston North End manager Ryan Lowe has revealed that Ched Evans will need to be assessed before this weekend’s clash with Queens Park Rangers.

The forward missed the Lilywhites’ showdown with Blackpool earlier this week after picking up a foot injury during his side’s 1-0 defeat to Derby County earlier this month.

Preston bounced back from this setback by sealing all three points in their showdown with their arch-rivals on Tuesday.

Cameron Archer’s strike in the first-half of this fixture turned out to be the winning goal as Lowe’s side moved above the Seasiders in the Championship standings.

Ahead of this fixture, Lowe has shared an update on Evans.

Speaking in his pre-match press conference (as cited by Preston’s official Twitter account), Lowe said: “They [the players] are all fine, there’s only Ched but I will have to check on him today.”

The forward has shown some fleeting signs of his ability as he has scored two goals and has produced two assists in 21 league
