Ryan Lowe comments on Preston North End’s January signing

Preston North End boss Ryan Lowe has told the Lancashire Evening Post that he is in awe of Cameron Archer’s level of quality.

The Aston Villa loanee already has two goals to his name since arriving at Deepdale in January and is fast becoming a key member of North End’s current squad.

Archer took his goal superbly in the recent win over Hull City and is offering a different kind of threat that Preston arguably lacked earlier in the campaign under Frankie McAvoy.

Now Lowe has offered his thoughts on his January signing’s performances in a Lilywhites’ shirt, as he stated the following recently:

“His quality levels are fantastic , he’s bullish, strong, he can roll, he has got that little burst of pace too.

“When I say there is work to do with him, it is getting him into the system and that is the same with all the lads, it is about learning and coaching.”

Archer is on loan with North End until the end of the current campaign and was linked with several other clubs before committing to moving to the Lancashire outfit at the turn of the new year.

He is a prospect that Villa have big plans for in the future.

The Verdict

It is amazing to see how big an impact one loanee can have on a team, and Archer is a prime example of a player that falls into that category.

He is showcasing the abundance of talent that he already possesses at such an early stage of his career and is set to go from strength to strength.

A lot of credit has to go to Lowe and the Preston hierarchy for getting a deal done for the Villa player as he certainly wasn’t short of interest from elsewhere.

Plenty of people will be watching to see how he gets on at Deepdale moving forwards.
