Rush hour chaos as drivers face 'severe delays' on M56 and M60 after fire
Drivers are facing 'severe delays' on the M56 after a building fire this morning.
Traffic on both carriageways has reportedly been affected by the incident, between junction 2 for Sharston and junction 1 for Kingsway.
Queues are also stretching back to junction 24 of the M60 (Denton Island), according to the traffic monitoring service Inrix.

Motorists have been warned to expect delays of around an hour. Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) has been approached for further information.

Traffic has now returned to normal following the earlier delays.
The incident has also been causing congestion on the M60. Delays are being experiencing as far back as junction 24 for Denton Island, according to Inrix.
There are currently lengthy delays on the M56 in both directions, between junction 2 for Sharston and junction 1 for Kingsway. This is reportedly due to a building fire near to the carriageway.
