Ruben Amorim opens up on Bryan Mbeumo chats and praises Man United attacker - 'He's a working machine'
Manchester United gave "everything" to sign Bryan Mbeumo due to his desire to join the club.
United announced the signing of Mbeumo for £65million plus £6m in add-ons in July.
Brentford stayed strong in negotiations but United were successful with their third bid to sign the forward, who has already made a huge impact at Old Trafford this season.
United sources said Mbeumo made it clear from the outset his desire to join the club and never budged from that position.
Amorim reiterated that the player's eagerness to move to Manchester was crucial when he praised Mbeumo during his press conference after the 4-2 victory against Brighton.
"He's a working machine," said Amorim about Mbeumo. "He's so good in transitions. He's improving when we are organising the final third. The connection with Amad is really hard to beat these two guys because they change positions.
"They are really fast, they are good in one against one. My role [in signing Mbeumo] was as a manager to explain what I want from him but it was more the club and you guys.
"We can struggle a lot but it's Manchester United. When Manchester United is there... and when we feel that this player wants to come here, no matter what, no matter what the position, no matter if it's Champions League or not, we also give everything to bring these kind of guys and that was the case."
Sir Jim Ratcliffe was in attendance to watch United's summer signings play a pivotal role in the victory. "It's more for the fans," said Amorim when asked about winning in front of Ratcliffe.
"I never had that feeling of embarrassment of what I was doing or not winning games. It's more with the fans because I felt always that Jim believes and knows what we are doing.
