Roy Keane slams three Man Utd players after 4-0 Liverpool loss

Roy Keane was fuming with Manchester United’s performance at Liverpool on Tuesday night.

Well, actually, maybe quietly fuming is the more accurate description because you really did get the impression that United were so shocking at Anfield that it really left him broken in the studio.

Gone were the red-faced rants where he looks like he’s going to pop out of his seat at any moment and in were the mystified moments of contemplation at what his former club has become.

However, as the Sky Sports pundits went about their breakdown of United’s dire showing in the studio, Keane clearly had some particular players on his mind when diagnosing the problems.

Truth be told, there wasn’t a single Red Devils player who could hold their head up high after such a damning 4-0 defeat, but it seemed as though certain individuals irked Keane more than most.

“This Manchester United team are well short on talent – they’re not as talented as they think,” Keane coldly reflected in the studio. “Then not to have the rest of it to back it up, the fighting spirit, energy.

“Jesse Lingard is coming on to try and save Man United. Jesse Lingard should have left Man United two years ago. He’s not good enough.

“Rashford played like a child up front. OK he wasn’t getting service, but the one or two bits he got in the first-half when you think he’s in on goal, a poor touch.
