Roy Keane shares passport photo from beginning of his career

At 54, Roy Keane is a legendary figure in football but his career all started with a big move from Cobh Ramblers in Cork to Nottingham Forest when he was still a teenager.

He often delights his 2.4 million fans with photos on Instagram, and his latest post is his old passport photo from his move to the UK.

A fresh faced keen is seen smiling in the passport, from 1987. While passports now last 10 years, this one was valid for just one.

The Corkman captioned the picture: "I didn’t have much, just a dream, great hair and a point to prove."

While Keane is a Manchester United legend, and most well-known for his time at Old Trafford, it all started at Forest.

Keane played under legendary manager Brian Clough, and has often spoken about the influence Clough had on his career.

He struggled with homesickness and Clough would often grant him a few days' leave to visit his family in Cork.
