Roy Keane believes it will take "some effort" for Chelsea to beat Liverpool in next month's FA Cup final. The Blues will take on the Reds on May 14 following semi-final victories against Crystal Palace and Manchester City, respectively.

Chelsea have already faced Liverpool at Wembley this season in the Carabao Cup final, but lost in a dramatic penalty shootout. The Blues will be keen to take revenge on the Reds in just less than a month when the teams go head-to-head at England's national stadium.

Keane, though, sees Liverpool as the overwhelming favourites for the final and does not rate Chelsea's chances of lifting the trophy next month. He said on ITV: "If any team is going to beat Liverpool this season, it will have to be some effort.

"If you factor in the quality of the players, they look sharp, they look strong, great squad, great manager. They will take a lot of stopping." Keane added: "They're [Chelsea] not as sharp or as strong as Liverpool." Host Mark Pougatch then asked for clarification as he said: "You don't think so?" To which a strident Keane replied: "I know so."
