Roy Keane criticises two Manchester United players following Man City defeat

Former midfielder Roy Keane was critical of both Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Anthony Elanga following Manchester United's 4-1 defeat to Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.

Goals either side of half-time from Kevin De Bruyne (2) and Riyad Mahrez (2) were enough to seal the bragging rights for City, despite Jadon Sancho netting an excellent equalsier for United midway through the first-half. De Bruyne scored either side of Sancho's strike to twice put City ahead.

City dominated the second-half and scored their third goal of the contest through a lovely finish from Mahrez. The former Leicester City man, via the aid of a deflection, fired home a volley after expertly connecting with De Bruyne's corner.

Whilst City's third goal was a thing of beauty, they were given a helping hand with their second. Elanga's clearance from the right-back position was weak and headed straight back into City's attacking third by Joao Cancelo.

Jack Grealish then, under no pressure from Wan-Bissaka, headed the ball into Phil Foden's path, who saw his effort saved by David de Gea, before the ball eventually landed at De Bruyne's feet for him to net his second of the contest. It was wasteful from United and it all stemmed from Elanga's lethargic clearance.

At half-time, his and Wan-Bissaka's actions in the build-up to the goal were slammed by Keane, who described the Reds' defending as being "sloppy."

"It was sloppy and too casual at the back," Keane told Sky Sports, reacting to De Bruyne's second goal of the contest. "Wan-Bissaka was not going to win the header and Elanga was too casual.
