Rourke returns to practice for Lions
Nathan Rourke participated in the individual portion of the BC Lions practice on Tuesday, where he threw with the quarterbacks, according to TSN Football Insider Farhan Lalji.
Nathan Rourke took part in the individual portion of practice today, throwing with the QBs. Lions will have to make a roster designation on him by the end of the week. He likely stays on 6-game, but can be pulled off at anytime. Playoffs still a possibility. @CFLonTSN https://t.co/PCruPbjn3m
Rourke, who took the league by storm as BC's starter in the first half of the season, has been out since Week 11 with a lisfranc injury that required surgery.
He was given an 8-to-10 week timeline for recovery and remains on that trajectory to return, possibly in time for the playoffs.
The Victoria, BC native totaled 3,281 yards and 25 touchdowns in nine games started for the Lions this year.
BC has a record of 8-1 with Rourke starting, compared to 2-4 without him. Vernon Adams Jr., Antonio Pipkin and Michael O'Connor have each started games at QB for the Lions since Rourke was hurt.
