Ronan O'Gara signs new contract at La Rochelle
Ronan O'Gara is set to stay at La Rochelle until 2027, after signing a new contract with the European champions.
The club's director of rugby confirmed last week that he was in discussions over a new deal, having ruled himself out of contention to be the new England coach.
O'Gara had been under contract at La Rochelle until 2024, but his future seemed uncertain in recent weeks after being heavily linked with a move to England.
The former Ireland and Munster out-half had been on a shortlist to replace Eddie Jones after the World Cup, but withdrew himself from consideration after deciding to stay in France.
And while England have since sacked Jones, O'Gara won't be succeeding the Australian, with his new deal keeping him at La Rochelle until the end of the next World Cup cycle.
