Ronaldo pockets huge bonus after smashing through 20-goal barrier; more Man Utd incentives on offer
Cristiano Ronaldo’s match-winning hat-trick against Norwich on Saturday earned him £850,000 as Manchester United boosted their hopes of a top-four finish again.
The Portuguese legend put the Red Devils 2-0 up at Old Trafford before eventually netting a late winner from 25 yards in front of the Stretford End. Those strikes took the 37-year-old to 21 goals in all competitions for the season.

Ronaldo returned to Manchester last summer after 12 years away. And, when he signed, there were several performance-related incentives included in his contract.
One was a £750,000 bonus should he break the 20-goal barrier, while he also picks up £100,000 for every goal he scores on top of that – as reported in The Sun.
Ronaldo has notched at least 20 goals in each of his last 16 seasons and there are more huge bonuses on the way.
The veteran forward will also earn £1m should he finish as United‘s top scorer. Currently, Bruno Fernandes is his closest competition, but Ronaldo’s international teammate has only scored nine times.
Should he manage to notch 30 goals then he could earn another £2.75m in goal-related bonuses.
Interim Red Devils boss Ralf Rangnick has, however, told his players they cannot continue relying on Ronaldo to get them through difficult games.
