Ronald Araujo: Barcelona star leaves pitch in ambulance after head clash with Gavi
There were worrying scenes at Camp Nou during Barcelona’s La Liga clash against Celta Vigo on Tuesday evening.
Ronald Araujo clashed heads with his own teammate, Gavi, midway through the half.
Play was stopped as both players fell to the ground.
Araujo appeared to be in bad shape and, after having treatment, he was put on a stretcher and into an ambulance.

His name was sung and a round of applause broke out as the ambulance departed from the pitch.

Play was stopped for just under 10 minutes while Araujo received treatment. Gavi, meanwhile, was able to continue.

Barcelona were leading 3-1 at the time of the incident.
The home side went into the break with a two-goal lead thanks to strikes from Memphis Depay and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Aubameyang netted his second just after the break, only for Celta to reduce the deficit to two goals once again through Iago Aspas.
