Roman Abramovich reveals to Chelsea fans why he saved the club from unfortunate Ken Bates issue

This has never been about business nor money for me, but about pure passion for the game and Club.”

Considering that he was looking into buying a football club at the time, there was a plethora to choose from. Including clubs with rich histories, such as Manchester United.
