Roman Abramovich: Chelsea fans chant owner's name vs Norwich

Thursday was a seismic day for Chelsea Football Club and Roman Abramovich.

In the morning, it was announced the club owner has been sanctioned by the UK following links to Vladimir Putin and his potential involvement in the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

From a football perspective, that meant that his assets had been frozen – which includes Chelsea.

But despite yesterday’s news and everything that emerged, it seems Chelsea fans still love Abramovich.

That could be heard ahead of kick-off against Norwich on Thursday night as they chanted the Oligarch’s name which was met by boos from the home fans.

”We take the knee together, if an important person from another club or from our club unfortunately dies,
