Rohit Sharma Wins Hearts With Gesture For Ravi Shastri, Interaction With Sunil Gavaskar Goes Viral - Watch

Rohit Sharma won hearts with his gestures towards legendary India batter Sunil Gavaskar and former head coach Ravi Shastri during the 50th anniversary celebrations of the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Sunday. During the event, Rohit shared the stage with stalwarts like Sachin Tendulkar, Shastri, Gavaskar and Ajinkya Rahane. During the discussion on stage, Shastri took a corner seat but Rohit urged him to sit in the middle alongside Gavaskar. Later, with the Champions Trophy 2025 trophy on stage, Gavaskar asked him to come in the middle but Rohit politely refused and stood in one corner.

Having brought two ICC trophies to the Wankhede Stadium -- the 2007 T20 World Cup as a member of the team and the 2024 T20 World Cup as skipper, India captain Rohit Sharma on Sunday promised that his team will do it's best to bring the upcoming 2025 Champions Trophy to the iconic venue for another round of celebration.

As the 2025 Champions Trophy was brought onto the stage and displayed to the people, Rohit said among the most cherished moments of his life was bringing the 2024 T20 World Cup to Wankhede after an open-top bus ride around Marine Drive.
